Brainy Quote of the day

Pirate Party

Today is cinco de Mayo, so we had chips and salsa @ the birthday!
The kids started the party with a piñata, that included their pirate hats, necklaces and silver coins. Then off to the treasure hunt, led by Mr Jimmy! They had to find a capsized boat by the pond and a broken guitar both containing clues, finally into the woods~and behind a skeleton was the treasure box full of candy! Aunt Rebecca organized a sword fight, and then a sword slinging contest, while we got the hot dogs and cake ready for the kids.
Riley enjoyed having all his friends over and all the gifts he's received at the party and in the mailbox from family. The day ended with his cousin Emma Grace having a sleepover..... Here are the two of them now:Found the treasure box!
Checking the treasure map in the backyard...

Piñata has been broken and we are all dressed like pirates now... checking our first map to find treasure.

Hi Ellen...
Just checkin' out your new page. Jake was standing next to me and LOVED the pirate party stuff. He "wants one." A good idea for when he's a little older. :) Welcome to the blog world.
